Techplus are currently looking for a Planner for a permanent position based in East Anglia.
Your key responsibilities will be to ensure Planning, Scheduling and overall resource best practices are applied across all tenders & projects, with high level of details, accuracy and precision, consistency and auditability, to enhance projects status visibility and enable pro-active management.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and manage the Planning system structure for Programmes / Projects
- Establish, manage and update Overall Master Schedules
- Establish, manage and update tendering schedules and Programmes / Project schedules
- In conjunction with Project Teams and supporting departments, develop WBS & baseline schedules
- Ensure all Changes/Variations are captured in the plan and the impact evaluated, proposing alternative/corrective solutions
- Liaise with Clients/Subcontractors/Vendors to ensure full compliance and control of the overall integrated project schedule
- Develop, maintain and manage Projects specific planning, scheduling, reporting processes and procedures, ensuring their application
- Prepare regular internal and external project reports for management
- Provide manpower & key resource (vessels) analysis and trends for forecasting, assessing resources availability
- Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans based on input from all key players and team members
- Gather actual data, update project schedule and develop reliable schedule forecast with support from project team
- Measure, control and report project progress highlighting any issues or areas of concern
- Participate in the risk evaluation process and perform schedule risk analysis
- Develop planning outputs and reports
- Preparation of close-out reports and create/maintain historical database, improving quality of feedback to tender/project
- Other relevant duties/tasks assigned by the Head of Planning and Cost Control

Required
- 5 years in the Renewable and Oil & Gas industry.
- Specific training courses related to Project Management, Planning and relevant tools
- Proficient user of Primavera and MS-Project, good knowledge of Excel; experience with ERPs

- APM Certification
- Degree (Business Administration/Finance/Engineering Experience)

Techplus are looking for a Storeman to start ASAP for 6-9 months work.
Monday to Friday, 9 hours per day.
- Managing the assigned stores area within the warehouse ensuring materials are tracked in and out at all times.
- Carrying out daily onsite forklift duties.
- Ensuring defective items of equipment are quarantined.
- Keeping a stores tracker up to date with all materials, equipment, and PPE being tracked.
- Perform weekly stock takes of construction equipment and PPE.
- Weekly submission of the stores tracker to Management, supply purchasing requests for sundry items and stock.
- Manage requests for materials & equipment.
- Organise cargo to be transported.
- Manage welfare items.
- Carry out general quayside & stores activities
- Perform daily walk-downs of the site and quayside to ensure the area is clean and free of rubbish and tidy.
- Track PPE orders and delivery dates.
- Responsible for keeping PPE register up to date based on orders and stock take. Weekly stock take sent to Management
- Report any PPE shortfalls and confirm when new PPE orders are required.
- Ensure PPE requests are fulfilled and PPE is issued to the correct personnel, PPE forms and records are kept up to date.
- Manage PPE transfer kit stock levels and issue to personnel.
- Ensuring defective items of PPE are quarantined and defect reports produced.
- Coordinate the inspection/recertification of climbing equipment, transfer suits and life jackets based on motion dates to ensure PPE is inspected and recertified in a timely manner.
- PPE items that are found defective are added to a defect list and the re-order of equipment is passed onto Management.
- Ensure waste management for the site and assets are in good order ensuring the onsite external bins are not overflowing and capacity is adequate.
- Confirm if the collections of receptacles including toilet cassettes are being conducted. Report any issues and volume increases to Management to ensure additional measures can be arranged.
